Heavy showers and gusty winds are set to disrupt the Thursday morning commute for Long Island.
News 12 Storm Watch Team meteorologist Sam Augeri says there will be about an inch of rain but no flooding concerns.
She says there will be some big puddles that will make for a messy commute.
There will be on and off rain throughout the day with improving weather for Friday.
Friday will be warmer with highs near 58 degrees.
There will be a cooling trend for the weekend into the next workweek.
