More than three weeks after being forced from their apartments, residents of 475 Kent Ave. are demanding to return home. City officials told residents to evacuate after they found the building did not have a sprinkler system and noticed the landlord had stored piles of flammable grain in the basement. ?I'm frustrated. I'm angry. I feel fed up. I feel the city is not doing enough,? said resident Sue Sussman. Tenants insist their landlord has been doing his best to get them back into the building. They said their anger is strictly with the city for not expediting the process. City officials said they understand that the tenants want to get back into their homes, but sprinklers and gas lines must first be fixed.
