FORECAST:
The cold wasn't as sudden, but it was noticeable on Thursday. Temperatures will be 10 to almost 25 degrees colder now than where they sat on Wednesday.
And it is only going to get colder on Thursday night. The core of this arctic air mass is pivoting thru the area during the overnight hours. The winds will also remain gusty so the two weather elements will make it feel much colder. Please keep this in mind when getting ready for Friday. Layers, layers and maybe another layer would be needed if you are spending anytime outside.
Fridays outlook is nice and chilly. Sun and clouds will share the sky. Daily temperatures will be chilly for this time of year, but certainly not the coldest that have been seen this season. For the most part, temperatures will be a few degrees shy of normal. The wind is what is going to make it feel colder and more uncomfortable. If you are dressed appropriately, you won't find the weather outside too terrible.
The weekend is here and there has been talk about a potential storm for Sunday that would deliver plowable snow to the state. Sunday doesn't look like an issue. The weather pattern will likely steer the storm a little too far south and east for it to be a big problem for the area. Don't be caught off guard by Saturday. Saturday morning could feature some sneaky snow showers passing through that could potentially lay down a quick coating. The weather feature is fast moving and fairly moisture-starved but the piece of energy is moving through during the coldest part of the day and could squeeze out any available moisture in the form of snow showers and roads could be slippery for a hot second.
