A woman has been charged in the fatal stabbing of another woman outside of a Brooklyn bodega, police say.
Claudia Hospedales, 26, of Brooklyn was charged with criminally negligent homicide and arrested on July 26, police say.
Hospedales is accused of fatally stabbing 20-year-old Ebony Young  on March 26, outisde a bodega at 1076 Broadway and Malcom X Boulevard.
Police say Hospedales evaded police by moving through three different states. A woman in Florida is credited with helping police find Hospedales.
In a press release, Community Advocate Tony Herbert wrote, "Thanks to an avid reader of the NY Daily News down in Florida, she immediately got on social media and contacted Ebony's sister, Joahnna Stephens to inform her that she knew exactly who the murderer is. The information was shared with detectives from the 81st Precinct Detective Squad, who worked tirelessly to bring the woman to justice."
