Fans watched the game, waiting to learn the fate of their favorite team.

Coming into the game, the Guardians led the best of five series by two.

The Yankees lost 6 to 5 on Saturday night, so fans were hopeful Sunday night would be different.

Regardless, the Yankees had a jam-packed regular season, finishing with a 99-63 record.

The Yankees went on to defeat the Guardians 4-2 to force Game 5 of the American League Division Series, which is scheduled for Monday night.
