A new mobile app allows Brooklyn residents to check out their food's farm-to-shelf journey.

Park Slope resident Jonah Burke designed the free "Park Slope Coop" app to show people what's available at nearby farms.

The app lets people keep tabs on their monthly work shift duties, track the arrival of items and learn more about where their food is coming from.

Users get notifications about new arrivals so they know what's available before getting to the co-op.

In advance, they can also read about the place the produce is coming from and see how much each item costs.

"It's just a fun thing and it's interesting to look at," says developer Jonah Burke. "Food is something that people care about and it's a lot of information about food and it's fun to use."

Burke says he's been getting feedback from co-op members and some of the new features he's looking into include are shopping lists, price history and recipes.
