One of the co-stars of the TLC show “Cake Boss” had to make good on a promise after he helped raise over $55,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Danny Dragone is known for the mustache he has sported for decades. He told News 12 New Jersey last week that he is constantly teased by his “Cake Boss” co-stars about it at Carlo’s Bakery.
Dragone said that he would shave the mustache off if he could raise $25,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a goal he more than doubled.
“That’s what’s so special about Make-A-Wish,” says president Tom Weatherall. “People come together to support our mission and all those dollars will go into making wishes happen this summer.”
The shave took place in Monroe Township with a special event that featured a barbershop quartet, magicians and clowns, as well as some of the children from the foundation.
Make-A-Wish New Jersey was able to grant 500 wishes to local children last year. Each wish costs an average of $10,000.
