HEAT ALERT: Hot weather for NYC, possible thunderstorm on Tuesday

News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Darryl Green says New York City will see high heat and humidity arrive by Tuesday with a threat for strong to severe thunderstorms Tuesday night.

NEW: Hot and humid Tuesday, with highs in the 90s and possible scattered strong to severe thunderstorms. The primary concern for this storm is damaging winds. Most severe threat is north and west of New York City.
NEXT: Humidity and heat lingers into Wednesday following thunderstorm threat. 
News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Darryl Green says New York City will see high heat and humidity arrive by Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the 90s. There is a threat for strong to severe thunderstorms Tuesday night.
Overnight: Mostly clear, warm and muggy. Lows near 71.
Tuesday: Hot, hazy, humid, breezy. Chance of afternoon storms. Highs near 93. Lows near 75.
Wednesday: HEAT ALERT - Mostly sunny, hot and muggy. Highs near 90. Lows near 72.
Thursday: Mix of sun and clouds, warm and sticky. Chance of afternoon pop-up storms. Highs near 86. Lows near 70.
Friday: Mostly sunny and warm. Highs near 84. Lows near 70.
Saturday: Mix of sun and clouds, warmer. Highs near 86. Lows near 72.
Sunday: Mix of sun and clouds, very warm, slight chance of thunderstorms. Highs near 88. Lows near 73.
