One person was killed and several were injured Sunday after another holiday weekend barbecue turned violent.

Five people were shot outside an apartment complex on Gates Avenue around 1 a.m. The victims with gunshot wounds range in age from 19 to 33 and are in various conditions. Zeanie White, 21, was pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital.

Police are unsure of the circumstances surrounding the shooting. A neighbor says she called police around 8 p.m. Saturday to complain about the noise from the party, but that nothing was done about it.

Police have yet to make any arrests. Those with information are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
