New Yorkers know how hot those subway stations and train cars can get - and the MTA is ready to help commuters stay cool.
Their action plan includes adding more staff at strategic locations, increasing equipment inspections, and monitoring rail temperatures.
“This week Mother Nature is putting us to the test. They are saying that we're gonna be somewhere in between 90 and 104° over the next several days you should be prepared just as we are prepared" says NYC Transit interim president Demetrius Critchlow.
