Students perform in Steel Pan Festival at Brooklyn College

A Brooklyn man was arrested Monday for an animal cruelty incident that happened on Nov. 1, police say.

Police say that 33-year-old Alberto Morris threw a young pit bull from the 14th floor balcony on Montgomery Street and Bedford Avenue. The dog died from its injuries.

Morris has been charged with reckless endangerment and aggravated cruelty to animals.
