Westchester County nonprofit "My Sister's Place" is set to celebrate 50 years this May of helping survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking.

The 2026 gala will celebrate the organization's five decades of providing shelter, legal services and support for survivors and their families.

Domestic violence impacts more than 80,000 New Yorkers every year.

The organization receives 5,000 calls to its hotline annually.

"It's sad that 50 years has passed and the work is still needed more so than ever before," said "My Sister's Place" CEO Denise Durham Williams. "What I'm most proud of over the 50 years is that we have been able to touch young people through our educational program and our training."

The gala will be held on May 13 at the VIP Country Club in New Rochelle.

All the proceeds from the event will go on to support the programs they offer.
