Heavy rain caused significant flooding across parts of Brooklyn, creating dangerous driving conditions and disrupting commutes, especially in Coney Island.

At Neptune Avenue and Ocean Parkway, floodwaters rose to the edge of the sidewalks, turning the roadway into what looked more like a narrow pool than a street. Vehicles traveling through the area sent waves of water onto nearby curbs, with drivers moving cautiously to avoid stalling in the deepest sections.

Traffic slowed considerably as motorists took turns navigating the flooded roadway near a traffic light, waiting for oncoming vehicles to clear before proceeding. Drivers described the conditions as stressful, warning that heavy rain can cause vehicles to fail if drivers are not careful.
