A man was critically wounded during a stabbing inside a deli in Morris Heights, according to police.

Investigators say an argument took a violent turn just after 12:15 p.m. Friday. It happened inside 1204 Grand Ave.

The victim, who is between 20 and 30 years old, suffered a stab wound to the neck.

Paramedics rushed him to St. Barnabas Hospital, where police say he is listed in critical condition.

According to investigators, a person of interest was taken into custody. A second alleged attacker remains on the run as of Friday afternoon.

Police say they are searching for a man who was last seen shirtless, wearing green shorts, white and black sneakers and a purple bonnet.

News 12 crews saw officers outside a house down the block from the deli.

The second location's connection to the stabbing - if any - was not immediately known.
