The Port Authority Police Department says three of its officers were injured after two cars caught fire at a parking lot at the John F. Kennedy International Airport.
The FDNY responded to the second floor of the blue parking lot just before 1 p.m. Tuesday.
One car caught fire and spread to the second car, according to the PAPD.
Firefighters extinguished the flames in just over 30 minutes.
EMS took the officers to hospitals to be treated for smoke inhalation.
The PAPD says normal operations have resumed at the lot.
