Four people had to be rescued Thursday night after a subway elevator stopped working at Yankee Stadium.
According to officials, it happened at the 161st Street station just as the New York Yankees game was getting out. Witnesses say the elevator got stuck midway down, leaving passengers stranded for 15 minutes.
The FDNY responded to the scene and pulled everyone to safety without injuries.
Commuters say that the elevator has a reputation for breaking down and forcing many to take the stairs or look for another way around.
The elevator remains out of service, and MTA officials say they're working on getting it running again Saturday.
