The attack happened on April 16 around 8:30 p.m. near 1765 University Ave.

Police report the victim was walking away when the suspect stabbed him with a knife in the back.

They say that the victim and the suspect did not know each other.

The man was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition, according to authorities.
