The Barclays Center is celebrating two years since it first opened.

In that time, the venue has hosted live events from Barbra Streisand, Paul McCartney and the MTV Video Music Awards.

Arena advocates say the Barclays Center has created jobs and improved the downtown area.

"If you have a good business in the Barclays Center area, and you know how to market it, you are doing very well, particularly after games and concerts," says Carlos Scissura, president of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce.

Officials say the venue has welcomed nearly 4 million guests.
