Some families kicked off their Thanksgiving Day and metabolisms with a run in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
The Alliance for Safer Streets held the annual Bed-Stuy turkey trot at Herbert Von King Park at 9 a.m. People laced up their sneakers and ran a 1.5-mile route.
In addition to trophies and bragging rights, the top three competitors took home turkeys. They also freed up room for their Thanksgiving feasts later in the day.
