Benches appeared at the corner of 86th Street and 5th Avenue last week, right where a Middle Eastern halal food truck usually sets up shop.This is the latest chapter in a so-called feud between street vendors and storefront owners.Tony Gentile, owner of Lone Star Bar on 5th Avenue, is one of the locals trying to get nearby street vendors to move. He says the food carts clog up the streets and have an unfair advantage over stores because they don't have to pay rent.The halal food truck is back in its usual spot, but the owner was not available to speak to News 12 Brooklyn.The city councilman for this area, Vincent Gentile (District-43), is currently trying to add this strip of 5th Avenue to the 'no vendor' list.
