Former President Bill Clinton was in Brooklyn Monday to campaign for his wife, presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton.

The former president rallied for voters Monday afternoon at Saint Gabriel's Episcopal Church in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens.

Clinton spoke to the crowd about his wife's plan for the country, which the Clintons say will include investing in poor communities with job training and education, addressing the nation's infrastructure, creating jobs and strengthening the middle class.

The political fight between former Secretary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, her opponent for the Democratic nomination, also crept into the former president's speech.

"I get the feeling that the gentleman who is running against Hillary, he's running harder against President Obama and me than he is against the legacy of the Bush administration and trickle-down economics," said Clinton.

Hillary Clinton will debate Sanders on Thursday, a week ahead of the New York primary on April 19.
