Bishop of Brooklyn Robert Brennan recognized the 18 soldiers buried at an East Flatbush cemetery in honor of Veterans Day.

Bishop of Brooklyn Robert Brennan recognized the 18 soldiers buried at an East Flatbush cemetery in honor of Veterans Day.
Each of the fallen soldiers – laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery -- had earned medals of honor for their service in the Civil War and Spanish-American War. Brennan blessed the memorial stone near the entrance of the cemetery which lists the names of those soldiers.
Brennan also marked the event on social media, saying in "Let us never forget the sacrifice of all veterans both living and deceased."
