BK Children's Museum hosts Black History Month event
Brooklyn children attended a Black History Month workshop hosted by the Brooklyn Children?s Museum Sunday.
The event featured a hands-on quilt, which each visitor could add a square to, as well as 15 paintings based on quilts from African-American author Faith Ringgold. Each painting represents a patch from quilts in Ringgold?s book ?Dinner at Aunt Connie?s House.?
The exhibit is designed to educate children about black history and culture in celebration of Black History Month.
The museum will feature the quilt paintings until the end of May.
