Stores and merchants across the Coney Island boardwalk are preparing for the beginning of summer and the surge in business that follows.
Some of the older businesses are updating their signage to grab new customers, as well as to welcome the old ones for the new season.
Businesses that are new to the boardwalk are also prepping with last-minute maintenance and setup so Memorial Day weekend goes smoothly.
One owner said they see more and more tourists come every year, and that business is always getting better.
