Polling sites are open Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the last chance to cast your vote.
Based on early voter turnout, voters today should expect lines and be prepared to wait.
The NYPD says it is prepared, and will be visible throughout Election Day. There have not been any specific threats of violence directed toward Election Day in the city, but the department is dispatching officers to all polling locations.
Voters turned out in high numbers during the early voting days, in the Bronx more than 153,000 people casted their ballot. Brooklyn had the largest turnout with more than 373,000 voters counted.
Those voting today will have until 9 p.m. As long as you enter the poll site by that last hour you will be able to cast your ballot.
