Police are working to identify a body that was found inside a home in East New York that was gutted by fire Tuesday morning.
More than 100 firefighters were called to put out a blaze at 395 Warwick Ave. Once the flames were contained, firefighters say they discovered a severely burned corpse with its hands and feet bound. The fire has been declared suspicious.
Neighbors say the house had been vacant for a long time, but over the summer a man described as a vagrant moved into the first floor.
The medical examiner's office is trying to determine the identity of the victim and the cause of death.
