Tenants of a Crown Heights apartment building say a broken elevator has prevented some elderly and disabled residents from leaving their homes.
Many tenants of the Pacific Street building say they are fed up with the broken elevator. The building?s landlord says it has been difficult to obtain a part need to fix the elevator. The elevator company says the replacement part must be custom manufactured and is expected to be delivered April 28.
Some tenants say the whole situation has been an inconvenience and wish the landlord had communicated with them better. The landlord agrees with the tenants and hopes to have the elevator up and running within a month.
