The Bronx Community Research Review Board held a virtual discussion on COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy Wednesday.
The town hall tackled doubts in Black and Latino communities and highlighted that residents are not getting tested frequently, but are testing positive for the coronavirus often.
The surge for advocacy to receive proper COVID-19 resources and education within these communities was also highlighted by panelists. They say technology limitations and their effect on minority communities signing up to get vaccinated is also a challenge.
Now that mobile testing sites and large vaccine hubs have been made available, panelists say it should be resourceful in helping residents to get the vaccine.
