Some members of the Brooklyn Nets stepped off the court and into hospital rooms to bring holiday cheer for kids who really need it.
Guard Markel Brown and forward Chris McCullough played games with patients at Maimonides Medical Center and signed autographs for children in the pediatric unit.
They say their goal was to lift the spirits of the patients.
"You always want to give back," Brown says. "Coming in here and lighting up the kids' day was amazing."
Each player spent one-on-one time with patients. The kids say it was treat to see the stars up close and personal.
Later in the week, the New York Islanders will also be stopping by to see the kids.
