Expectant mothers celebrated their impending bundles of joy with a community baby show in Pelham Bay Park.

The Bronx New Mommies Group, Inc. held its first community shower. Prizes, clothing giveaways and even some shower games were all on the agenda. The women say it is easier to face the challenges of motherhood together.

The entrance was free and moms were treated to breakfast and baby essentials. There were also seminars on topics such as post-partum depression and safe cleaning products for the home.

The Bronx New Mommies Group, Inc. holds meetings throughout the year. There is also a group for fathers.
