Caught on camera: Cyclist strikes pedestrian in Williamsburg crosswalk

The video appears to show an older man hesitate in the crosswalk just before the collision.

The video appears to show an older man hesitate in the crosswalk, just before the collision. The cyclist then appears to check on the victim before other pedestrians began to help.

The cyclist then left the scene while the victim was being attended to.

The FDNY confirms with News 12 that the incident took place Monday night. The surveillance video shows that it happened at 7:45 p.m.

The NYPD told News 12 that they are now investigating the incident as a hit-and-run.

An eyewitness says the victim was knocked unconscious but is expected to be OK.

News 12 also reached out to Hatzolah, which News 12 learned took the victim to the hospital, but has not heard back yet.
