Rector Chris Henue, of the Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph, held a Mass on Monday to commemorate the members of the FDNY from Battalion 57 in Brooklyn who lost their lives on 9/11.
Local community members and members of the FDNY took part in prayer and song at a Mass held at the Prospect Heights church.
Henue led services to remember the 23 Brooklyn firefighters from that battalion who lost their lives on this day 22 years ago.
Family members of those who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Sept. 11 attacks say they’re so grateful for events like these that help keep the service and the memories of their loved ones alive.
