A group of cyclists is mapping out some of the spots they say are "problem areas" for bikers across Brooklyn.

Activists with the group Transportation Alternatives say that after cycling through Brooklyn, they've found gaps and missed connections -- when a bike lanes ends and a rider is "plopped" into a lane of traffic.

Riders pointed to a missed connection on Pitkin Avenue and Eastern Parkway, where a bike lane on the parkway's sidewalk abruptly ends, forcing bikers onto the street and into merging traffic.

Cyclists say every time a bike lane ends before connecting to another proper route, it creates unsafe conditions.

The group has started a petition to gather signatures before going to the Department of Transportation and local officials to call for the changes to be made.
