DA: Charges dropped in Linden Park rape case

Police say charges have been dropped after a man turned himself into police in connection to the rape of a woman in Linden Park early Saturday morning.

Police say charges have been dropped after a man turned himself into police in connection to the rape of a woman in Linden Park early Saturday morning.
Police say the incident is still under investigation.
Police say the incident happened around 3 a.m. on Aug. 3 when the victim was walking along Linden Boulevard. They released surveillance video in connection to the case.
Officials originally told News 12 that the 26-year-old victim walked into Linden Park to get away from the suspect who she says was trying to hit on her. Police say the man followed her into the park and raped her before running off.
News 12 is told pending the investigation, the man originally in custody was released was not arraigned.
