A woman is suing a Midwood nursing home and Borough Park medical center over what she calls the wrongful death of her father.

Diane Skier is suing Metropolitan Jewish Geriatric Nursing Home and Maimonides Medical Center for abuse, neglect and negligence in Abraham Ticknor?s death. The plaintiff says her 97-year-old father was featured in the nursing home?s brochures before he suffered two strokes. Then she says his care went downhill, despite Ticknor being a seven-year resident at the home.

Skier claims he was shuffled between the home and Maimonides. According to the lawsuit, Ticknor was found to have several stage-four bed sores, was given an overdose of a blood thinner and a cord was reportedly found in his rectum.

Metropolitan Jewish Geriatric Nursing Home has not commented on the case. Maimonides Medical Center says it can't comment due to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.
