An East New York man claims an NYPD officer wrongfully arrested him in July, and he wants the charges dropped.
Moses Miller tells News 12 Brooklyn a police officer stormed into his home and punched him in the face after a dispute with his pregnant wife about illegal grilling. Miller claims the officer also dislocated his shoulder.
Miller was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and obstruction. Miller says he was just trying to defend his wife, who the officer allegedly put in a chokehold.
State Assemblyman-elect Charles Barron says the officer should be the one in court, not Miller. Barron says the couple will be meeting with the district attorney next week. The DA's office is investigating the incident.
