Many residents in East New York spent Sunday shoveling after the snowstorm.
Residents who spoke with News 12 said they woke up to find their cars nearly submerged under a blanket of snow.
One man said he had been shoveling for over two hours and was not finished yet.
Most residents seemed to be taking the snow in stride, saying the storm was typical of winter in New York City.
Many also seemed impressed by city's efforts clearing the streets.
"They did a good job," said Rodney Small, of East New York. "The main streets are clear, that's the most important thing. And then the secondary streets will come next, so you know, just once we get to the secondary streets we'll be able to maneuver a little bit."
