Empire City Casino in Yonkers reopened Monday morning after months of closure.
The casino reopened at 10 a.m. at 25% capacity.
Masks are required and will be provided if needed. Patrons will also have to complete a temperature check.
Machines are roped off every 6 feet, leaving about 2,000 of the 5,000 machines on the floor available to play.
Eating and drinking are prohibited on the casino floor. Patrons can only eat or drink at the pub or food court.
At the height of the pandemic, about 90% of staff were furloughed. Now, more than half have returned.
Empire City Casino is also one of the few places people can redeem winning lottery tickets, but those services are suspended for the time being.
Officials say people will need to enter from Yonkers Avenue because the Central Avenue entrances are closed.
