Friends and family paid their respects for a Brooklyn man who died in an incident at an upstate prison several weeks ago.

Family disputes corrections officials’ account of 24-year-old’s death
Friends and family paid their respects for a Brooklyn man who died in an incident at an upstate prison several weeks ago.
State corrections officials say 24-year-old Anthony Myrie died of a heart attack after a fight with other inmates.

Loved ones say they do not believe that account. They say Myrie was healthy when he entered the facility.
 
An autopsy performed upstate was inconclusive and results of a second independent autopsy requested by his family are still unknown.
 
Myrie is set to be laid to rest Thursday at the Cypress Hills Cemetery.
