A memorial now sits outside Brookdale Hospital to remember 4-year-old Zachariah Padilla.
The 4-year-old was killed in a hit-and-run on March 6 outside the same hospital he was born in.
His father, Jose Padilla, says he is still finding the words to describe his feelings.
“I’m going to miss a lot of days,” said Jose Padilla. “A lot of birthdays, a lot of celebrations. I'm going to miss him grow, to become the man he was supposed to be.”
The family has one plea for the driver responsible.
“We need you to present yourself,” said Padilla. “Confront this issue. A lot of people are grieving over it.”
Padilla tells News12 that police have identified the vehicle model that struck Zachariah, but a driver has not yet been identified.
