A major heroin bust has landed four suspects from Brooklyn behind bars today, according to the FBI.
Federal agents say they raided suspected stash houses across Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island, netting a total of 20 alleged members of a drug-trafficking ring.
Officials say the suspects distributed more than 20 kilograms of heroin with a street value of nearly $3 million over the past nine months.
According to prosecutors, the drug ring was centralized in Queens and had distribution networks in Long Island, as well as a storage facility in Bushwick.
The arrests were part of a lengthy investigation into the drug trade on Long Island.
If convicted, each suspect will face a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison.
