Federal attorneys announced on Friday that they have shut down a gun trafficking ring operating out of Brooklyn, arresting three people in the process.
They say that the suspects in question allegedly sold at least 40 illegal guns out of a fast-food parking lot in the borough.
Prosecutors say those guns were being sold just blocks away from an elementary school. Two of the suspects are from Georgia and one is a Brooklyn native, and it’s believed that the guns were purchased in Georgia before being brought to Brooklyn to be sold illegally.
