Several residents in Midwood are now homeless after a fire ripped through their homes Thursday.

The fire began in one home and quickly spread to two others. Residents say they are unsure how the fire spread so far, but realize wind may have been a factor. The Red Cross has offered to help those displaced by the fire, but many have already found relatives to stay with.

Officials say it may take six to eight months to fix the damage.
