A Sunday morning fire left two Bensonhurst families homeless.
A 2-alarm fire broke out at 7902 19th Avenue around 6:00 a.m. The fire started in the back of the house before spreading to the roof and next door, according to firefighters.
All of the residents were able to evacuate the buildings and the only minor injuries were to four firefighters, according to fire officials. The injuries were treated to on the scene.
Firefighters say the families must seek temporary housing due to the severe damage done to the residences.
?It was very scary,? said one neighbor.
