Cacao Prieto chocolate factory and distillery is cooking up a chocolaty storm in Red Hook.
Cacao Prieto, which means dark chocolate in Spanish, makes homemade chocolate. Whiskey and bourbon are also made from scratch on site.
The chocolate is made right from farm to bar in the Brooklyn facility and they use antique Victorian machines. Their raw cacao beans come from the owner's native country of the Dominican Republic.
Whether you have a sweet tooth or are just curious to learn how this unique chocolate is made, Cacao Prieto offers tastings and tours.
