15h agoOn Giving Tuesday, News 12 visited Fairfield-based Save the Children – a nonprofit that provides lifesaving aid to children in the U.S. and around the world.
"Save The Children has been around for more than a century, giving kids a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm every day and in times of crisis," said Ettore Rossetti of Save The Children.
Giving Tuesday is a movement that began in 2012 to motivate people to give to a meaningful nonprofit. You can find more information and a list of nonprofits to donate to here.
"Whether you give to Save The Children or any other cause you care about, it's important to do it today because it marks the official start to the official giving season," said Rossetti.
