The Soldiers' and Sailors' Arch, the crown jewel of Grand Army Plaza, is getting cleaned up as part of a conservation program.
The Citywide Monuments Conservation Program is cleaning the arch and will apply a protective coat to ensure the arch stays clean for years to come.
The arch is dedicated to the Union forces that fought during the Civil War.
