Greenpoint residents are raising street safety concerns at the intersection of Franklin and Oak streets.

On Wednesday, an MTA Mobile Wash Unit truck crashed into a residential building located at the corner of Franklin and Oak streets.

Neighbors told News 12 they were not surprised, as the bus intersection poses a threat to pedestrians and drivers.

"We desperately need a crosswalk and stops like a four way stop sign," said Kate Dubois, a local resident.

Other residents say they feel nothing will change.

News 12 reached out to the Department of Transportation about this concern but has not heard back yet.
