(09/04/06) CROWN HEIGHTS ? A city sanitation worker recognized for his heroism a year ago was shot and killed outside a building in Brooklyn Monday.
Three others were also wounded in the shooting. One of the victims was hospitalized in critical condition, the other two were expected to survive. The shooting, which killed 33-year-old Damon Allen, took place around 1:30 a.m.
