The mother of a teenager injured in a hit-and-run is pleading for the driver involved to come forward.
The incident happened last Thursday at the intersection of Mother Gaston Boulevard and Sutter Avenue in Brownsville. T Addy says her son, Dejouree, was crossing Sutter Avenue on a bike when a speeding car struck him. He wound up in the other lane where he was hit by a red Jeep that drove off.
Dejouree suffered injuries including a broken nose and sternum.
The 18-year-old is a football player at his high school. Addy says Dejouree will have to miss the first couple of games, but he's hoping to recover soon and get back on the field.
